Since all hairs have a “shelf” life, if a transplanted hair “ages” out, what grows in it’s place, the transplanted root hair or the DHT affected hair?

It is done under a local anesthetic so there is no pain involved. You will feel a little discomfort for a day or two but that goes away quickly.

This is a very good question Laurie. It actually has to do with Androgenic Alopecia being called Male Pattern Baldness. There are only certain hairs on the head which are susceptible to DHT. The hairs on the top are but those on the sides and back are not. This is why men don’t lose their hair on the back of the head.
